Shlomi Vaknin & Co. Law Office (hereinafter: "the Firm") attaches the utmost importance to protecting the privacy of users of the Firm's website (hereinafter: "the Website"). This policy is intended to detail the manner in which the Firm collects, uses, and safeguards information, all in accordance with the provisions of the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 (hereinafter: "the Law"), the regulations enacted thereunder (including the Information Security Regulations), and Amendment 13 to the Law.
Consent and Obligation to Provide Information (Notice Under Section 11 of the Law)
Use of the Website and the provision of information therein constitute consent to the terms of this policy. It is hereby clarified that the user is under no legal obligation to provide information to the Firm, and any such provision is made voluntarily and with consent only. However, without providing certain details in the contact forms or newsletter registration, the Firm will be unable to provide the requested service or respond to the inquiry.
Information Collected by the Firm
The Firm may collect two types of information:
Personal information provided voluntarily: When submitting a "Contact Us" form, registering for the newsletter, or signing up for events, information is collected including, but not limited to: full name, email address, phone number, and the content of the inquiry.
Technical information and digital identifiers: While browsing the Website, statistical and aggregated information is collected, including the user's IP address, browser type, location data (at the country/city level), time spent on the Website, pages viewed, and browsing history within the Website. This information is collected through "cookies" and analytical tools (such as Google Analytics).
Purposes of Information Use
The information will be stored in the Firm's database and used solely for the following purposes:

Direct Mailing, Newsletter, and Professional Content
The Firm operates a newsletter service that includes case law updates, legislation, professional articles, and event invitations.
Consent: Registration for the newsletter constitutes express consent to receive advertisements and direct mailing as defined in the Telecommunications (Bezeq and Broadcasting) Law and the Protection of Privacy Law.
Right to unsubscribe: The user is entitled to withdraw consent at any time. This may be done by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each message, or by contacting the Firm in writing via email: office@vtaxlaw.co.il. Upon receipt of the removal request, the Firm will remove the user's details from the relevant mailing list in accordance with the law.
Disclosure of Information to Third Parties and International Transfers
The Firm will not sell or transfer user information to third parties without their consent, except in the following cases:
Service providers: Transfer of information to external providers (such as cloud services, mailing systems, and website management services) acting on behalf of the Firm under confidentiality and privacy protection obligations.
Overseas storage: Some services (such as Microsoft or Google cloud services) may store information on servers located outside the borders of the State of Israel. By using the Website, the user consents to such transfer of information, subject to the legal provisions regarding the transfer of information to databases beyond the country's borders.
Legal obligation: In the event of a court order or a demand by a competent authority under law.
Information Security and Attorney-Client Privilege
The Firm implements technological security measures and strict security protocols in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Regulations (Information Security), 5777-2017, in order to protect information from unauthorized access.
Warning: The transmission of information over the Internet is not entirely immune. Therefore, particularly sensitive information protected by attorney-client privilege should be conveyed directly to the handling attorney through secure means (telephone or in-person meeting) and not through the Website's forms.
User Rights – Access, Correction, and Deletion
Under the Law, the user is entitled to access information held about them in the Firm's databases. If the user finds that the information is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, they may request its correction or deletion. Additionally, to the extent that the information is used for direct mailing, the user is entitled to demand that the information pertaining to them be deleted from the database used for such mailing.
